Design Description

Yates County Courthouse

The courthouse consists of a steel-framed, brick- and masonry-clad structure with a first floor slab on grade and a second floor and attic space above grade. The above grade floors consist of composite steel and cast-in-place concrete slab on metal decking. The roof system consists of steel beams and open web joist with metal decking designed to resemble a hip roof configuration.

Yates County Office Building

The county office building consists of a steel-framed, brick- and masonry-clad structure with a first floor slab on grade and partial basement with composite slab on deck, as well as a second floor and roof above grade. The second floor consists of composite slab on metal decking. The roof system consists of steel beams and open web joist with metal decking for a portion of flat roof as well as a portion that was designed to resemble a gable and hip configuration.

Yates County Buildings and Grounds Structure

The buildings and grounds structure consists of a brick-clad, load-bearing concrete masonry wall system. The floor consists of typical slab on grade construction. The roof system comprises light gage metal roof trusses with metal decking designed to resemble a hip roof configuration.
